After the surgery, it’s normal to feel some discomfort and swelling. There will be a tightness in the skin of the neck and chin due to bruising and swelling. The doctor might place facial drains to remove fluid and remove these after a day.
The recovery time might vary according to the surgical process your doctor used. You should also avoid getting excess water and sun on the face and chin for a few days. Your surgeon might apply ointment to the incision areas.
